Another key local LibDem election pledge delivered...
In just under a year from an idea to work starting the new splash pool for Southsea seafront is underway. The pool is being built on the site of two of the old bowling greens opposite the D-Day Museum...
The area will include a sand pit, play equipment and shaded areas aimed at families with children aged eight and under and will be free to use. Central Southsea's recently re-elected Councillor, Lee Hunt, has been asked to continue his good work running culture, leisure and sport, said: "I expect it to be a real hit with children and young families. Along with the new adventure park by Canoe Lake this will get youngsters used to enjoying water and exercise and demonstrates, again, our commitment to the seafront - despite what political opponents said in the recent elections; we are delivering what the public tell us they want and that is more things to do and fun along the seafront for all ages."
